`The eBroadcast MsgBlaster

The first iteration of the eBroadcast system is deployed, and ready for you to use if you need it.

Let's say that a student trips and falls at a work day, and they need some medical attention.
You're going to want to contact their parent(s), and maybe some other staff members to help out with supervising the remaining students, etc.

Well, that's what the eBroadcast Message Blaster function is there to help you with.

Find that student's picture on the event page, or find them in the directory, and bring up their profile.  On their profile page, you'll find a red button "eBroadcast Msg Blast", which will help you email (and soon text) everyone very quickly and easily.  If you open the student's "Medical" section, you'll find their primary care doctor's name and number, along with the hospital that takes their insurance, and a Google map link to make it easy to get there.

If you've already used the Message Blaster, this will be very easy.
If you haven't, go ahead and try it out.  Nothing will actually be SENT to anyone, until you hit the final SEND button.  If you uncheck everyone, except for yourself, then you could actually even hit the SEND button, without repercussions.  You can do your own little test of the system.

A future release of this eBroadcast system will start a group chat with all the same people that you include in the message blast, to make it easy to keep everyone informed, and on the same page.

Please let me know if you have any issues or trouble with this system.
It's important to figure out how to use this now, so that if you do _need_ to use it, it won't be your first time trying it out.

Details

When viewing a student's profile as a staff member, you can see ALL of the student's contact information.  Tapping on the email address opens your email program, prefilled with the email address.  Same with phone numbers, click the phone icon to dial the number, click the text icon to compose a text message to that number.  The location icon will open google maps with the given location, which can then be used to navigate to that location, if desired.

The CEO has the option to DELETE a user.  Staff will not see that button.

The Student Record button will show their volunteer hours, community service record, and class attendance.

There are 3 new sections in the middle:
Student application:  Find out which school they attend, which church they attend, and what they are considering for careers.

Enrollment progress:  This section shows their progress in getting all of their paperwork filled out, and turned in.

Medical:  This section shows student medical info that the parent/adult student provided for staff consumption.  A hidden section will become viewable in the event of an emergency, which is meant for medical personnel.

eBroadcast Msg Blast:  Press this button in case of emergency involving this student.  See below for the complete flow.

Student application

Only the CEO gets the buttons at the bottom.

Enrollment progress

Again, only the CEO gets the buttons.

This section shows you the portions that the student has completed,
what the parents have completed, and the parent's name.
The last column Staff/Paper, shows which papers have been turned in.

The Materials section shows which materials have been provided to the student.

This section shows any parents/guardians/contacts that have created accounts that are attached to the student's account.

This section shows the parents/guardians/contacts who have been invited to create accounts which are attached to the student's account.

Medical

This shows any medical conditions, or allergies that staff members should be aware of.

PCP Name is the name of the student's Primary Care Physician, along with their phone number.

Preferred hospital.  Since not all insurance policies are accepted at all institutions, this is included here, in case of emergency.  If it's on our list, you'll also get a location icon, which you can tap to open it in google maps.

eBroadcast Msg Blast

If a student is injured or maybe has an allergic reaction, you can now spend more time with the student, and less time on the phone trying to contact everyone.

Press this button, to send a Msg Blast to all of the student's contacts, along with every WOGM staff member to let them know that you might need a hand.

This prefills a Msg Blaster

At the top of the Recipients list, you will find the student's parents/contacts, followed by ALL of the WOGM staff members.

You can uncheck some of the boxes, if you don't want to send it to everyone.

The default action button will take the parent to the staff directory for now.
A later release will take them to a chat page dedicated to the incident, where all recipients can read/post information.

Email/Notification section

The default Email Subject contains the words shown, along with the student's name, in order to get the parent's attention.  You may edit it if you like.

The Message Body.

You will definitely want to edit this portion.  Fill in details:
what happened

where are you taking them, or what is their location

how are they doing.

Tap SEND to send this message to all the recipients.
